Grilandia - East Sheen
Grilandia - East Sheen
I seem to be making up for my Mediterranean food drought by going to two Mediterranean restaurants in the span of three days! Although I can't complain too much, the food was amazing in both restaurants🙌! Like Megan's, the decorations in Grilandia made the atmosphere of the restaurant feel nice and welcoming. The warm lamps above and the greenery strung across the walls made us feel cosy and comfortable in the restaurant.
Not only did the restaurant look beautiful, it also made delicious Lebanese food😋! We went at lunch time and ordered their deep treat falafel special which, in hindsight, could definitely have been shared! For £12.95 the dish came with two pieces of their fluffy sesame bread, lemony hummus, lots of batata harra, and three large falafels. I food the food to be well-seasoned and though it was a tad bit on the lemony side, I can't complain because I absolutely adore the splash of acidity and freshness lemon adds to hearty dishes. The falafel was soft on the inside but had a crisp exterior, creating a beautiful contrast in textures on the plate - definitely order this as a mezze at dinner, it's well worth it! If going to this restaurant at lunch I would highly recommend this special, though they do have a number of vegan and vegetarian options to choose from in the menu.Overall, the lunch was mouth-watering and I would definitely go back just for their falafels! The chain has restaurants across South West London, so I'm looking forward to going to their other restaurants!
(Side Note - You'd think after reading this review that they were the first things I finished on the plate, but I was so stuffed that I ended up packing a couple of them up for an after-dinner snack!)
Decor - 7/10
Food - 9.5/10 (although I love lemon, it was an extremely prominent flavour throughout multiple elements of the dish, so I've knocked off 0.5)
